Herbal Traces

Herbal Traces: Medicinal Plants of South-Central Texas is an exhibition that celebrates the intersection of art and nature, Created by Palo Alto College Fine & Performing Arts faculty member Sabra Booth, the exhibition is showcased in the windows of the Ozuna Library and Learning Center, at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas from March 1-August 9, 2024. This captivating installation highlights the importance of preserving regional flora and its healing properties, while also creating a visually stimulating experience for all passersby. An additional location for the exhibition is the San Antonio Vascular & Endovascular Clinic (SAVE): South Central. Lyssa Ochoa, M.D., director and CEO of the SAVE clinic lectured at Palo Alto College for Women’s History Month. Parts of the exhibition are on display at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Wildflower Café, in Austin, Texas, through September 2025. This exhibition is funded by the Alice Kleberg Reynolds Foundation and the Department of Arts & Culture, City of San Antonio Individual Artist Grants 2024.
